Why do i have a bump on my nose ring?

I've had my nose pierced for over a year and about a week ago, the ring has appeared and it looks like a big pimple on the nose ring. I've been cleaning it with peroxide and iodine. This looks absolutely disgusting. What should I do to get rid of the bump? No puss is coming out, so I don't know what it could be...
