How can I start a TV show?

I want to start a TV show with my friend and I about wildlife or scuba diving. Both of us are scuba certified and want to do more diving than we do now. We want to be on Discovery channel or National Geographic. How do we get noticed by an actual TV channel like Discovery or National Geographic? I kind of have a plan... I'll film every week and post on Sunday or Monday and we will travel locally to dive or study wildlife. That's all.
